We Lift Hope was born from a simple but unshakeable belief: every child deserves a chance to rise, no matter where they are born or what they face. Our journey began long before the charity had a name in the quiet moments of witnessing struggle, in the conversations with young people searching for direction, and in the deep desire to turn compassion into action.
Our founder, Anicet Nima, grew up seeing both the beauty and the challenges of African communities. He saw children with extraordinary potential but limited opportunities. He saw families doing everything they could with almost nothing. And he saw how a single act of kindness could change the direction of a young person’s life. These experiences planted a seed a calling to create something bigger than himself, something that could lift others the way hope once lifted him.
As Anicet travelled, trained, and built his life in the UK, the vision grew stronger. He realised that hope is not just a feeling, it is a responsibility. It is something we must carry, share, and pass on. And so, We Lift Hope was created: a charity dedicated to empowering children, supporting communities, and restoring dignity where it has been lost.
From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to stand with the forgotten, the overlooked, and the underserved. We focus on children because they are the heartbeat of every community. When a child is supported, a family is strengthened. When a family is strengthened, a community rises. And when a community rises, a nation transforms.
Together, We Rise. Together, We Lift Hope.
